There are many public and private resources available to the Calgary community as we move through the current challenge of coronavirus/Covid-19 together. We will continue to add resources to this page.

Community Resources

In Calgary fashion, the community is coming together while trying to stay physically apart. Check out the links below for information and resources that can help you over the coming days and weeks.

Accessing CHC resources and partner agency services

Calgary Housing Company Resource rooms across our properties are closed. Our partner agencies are working on continued services, in some cases by appointment and most cases by phone.

Refer to this list of resources available in your district. Be sure to call or email for information. In person visits at are by appointment only. You may be screened for symptoms of illness before being offered an appointment.

General Supports

Women's Centre Open by Appointment - In person services will include: taxes, personal care items and computer access. Please call 403-264-1155 for details and to book your appointment. Staff and volunteers continue to offer some supports by phone. [Added 6/19]

Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society is here to help! - If you are feeling isolated, anxious, overwhelmed, or are experiencing family violence, please reach out. Call 403-531-1972 or 403-531-1976 or text 403-862-3654 or 403-875-4512 24 hours per day. [Added 5/13]

211 Alberta COVID-19 Resources - A provincial directory of community, health, social, and government organizations and services available to support citizens in need. Contains up-to-date info on services affected by COVID-19. [Added 5/06]

Enough-for-all Publications - Content includes summaries of 'COVID-19 Information for Calgarians' and 'Financial Supports for Calgarians' are available in multiple languages. Other information is also available to supports Calgarians in need. [Added 4/22]

Community Helpline and Coaching Services from Momentum - Momentum is offering employment, business and money management helplines and coaching services. Visit their website for more info or call their general line at 403-272-9323. [Added 4/6]

Women's Centre of Calgary staff and volunteers will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m by phone for referral assistance 403-264-1155. [Added 3/27]  Refer to this PDf list of available services from [Added 4/6].

Financial Supports for People Impacted by COVID-19 - article from Momentum that lists what you can do, and who you can call, based on different scenarios.

 Low Income Transit Pass Extension - On Monday, March 16, Council made the decision to extend the validity of our March LITP passes through April. This means that you can use your March 2020 Low Income pass until April 30.

Food Supports

COVID-19 (Coronavirus): Access to food - Information from the City of Calgary on no-cost programs available from local service agencies to help vulnerable Calgarians access food. [Added 05/13]

Damesh Culture Centre Food Bank - Order non-perishable foods online, call 403-590-0970 or Email Pickup from 135 Martindale Blvd NE or request free delivery. [Added 05/13]

Meals-on-Wheels Food Delivery for All Calgarians - New relief efforts for ANY Calgarian whose life has been altered due to COVID-19, affecting their ability to easily access nutritious meals. [Added 05/13]

The Alex Community Food Centre - The Alex is still connecting people with food supports as well as a host of other things: basic needs, mental health, legal, financial, referrals and other social supports. Visit their website or call 403-455-5792. [Added 05/13]

Fresh Routes Mobile Market Food Delivery - Complete the form to purchase a food box and you will receive an email with a day and time period that your order will arrive.. There are a limited number of donated food boxes available. [Added 05/13]

Calgary Food Bank Food Hampers - Visit the Calgary Food Bank website for more info or call 403-253-2055 to book a hamper. You must call before picking up. [Added 05/13]

Calgary food depot is helping families access food - people looking to pick up a hamper  can call 403-815-5822. [Added 4/22]

The Salvation Army is providing food hampers and essentials by appointment only. Call: 403-220-0432 [Added 3/27]

The Calgary Co-op is offering care packages if you have been instructed by Alberta Health services to quarantine, send an email to [Added 3/27]

Calgary Meals on Wheels is still producing and delivering meals. If you are in need of prepared meals please order online or call them at 403-243-2834.[Added 3/27]

Fresh Routes Delivery Request - this delivery request form if you are in isolation and are unable to get food in other ways such as through family and friends. [Added 3/25]

Mental Health Supports

CMHA’s Mental Health Week 2020 - CMHA's 2020 Campaign focuses on sharing how we really feel. Check out this article that outlines the benefits of sharing out we feel and some suggested things we could say instead of I’m fine. [Added 5/06]

The Distress Centre | 24 Hour Support - Distress Centre Services are available by phone and online. 24-Hour Crisis Line: 403.266.HELP (4357) or

Senior Specific Supports

The Way In: supports for Seniors -  a collaboration of Calgary based agencies providing a coordinated response to seniors requiring supports and services. Call 403-SENIORS (403-736-4677) for assistance. [Added 5/13]

Elder Abuse Resources from Alberta health - visit the website for resources or call the Calgary Elder Abuse Resource Line at 403-705-3250. Call 911 if you or someone you know is being abused and is in immediate danger. [Added 5/13]

Information Resource from Alberta Seniors and Housing - Alberta Seniors and Housing has compiled information geared specifically to Seniors. Seniors who need information and supports can still contact Alberta Supports at 1-877-644-9992. [Added 4/22]

The Kerby Centre is providing a Grocery Delivery Program for seniors in the community, and they have lifted the income requirements. Call the program at 403-234-6571. [Added 3/27]

COVID-19 Seniors Information Hotline - senior-specific services including food security, emergency shelter, prescription and grocery delivery and emergency financial support. [Added 3/27]

Seniors Support Resources from the Kerby Centre - Kerby Centre is closed to the public, but is still supporting vulnerable seniors. More information is available on their website. [Added 3/27]

Food Delivery

YYC Grocery Delivery - Free custom grocery delivery for Calgarians in need. Place an order and they will do the shopping. Pay by e-transfer or prepare the cash and your delivery will be left at your door! [Added 05/13]

Community Kitchen Program of Calgary: The Good Food Box​ - Low-cost boxes of fruits and vegetables available for pick-up to all Calgarians.
