Calgary Housing Company is Moving

Calgary Housing Company is pleased to announce the merging of our district and corporate offices into one main location.

As of April 16, 2024, CHC will be centralized at a single office at Wood Centre – 200, 2535 3rd Avenue SE (immediately north of intersection of Barlow Trail and Memorial Drive). Click here for a map to our new location.

This move is designed to improve our service, making it easier and more efficient for our customers to get the help they need. Bringing our teams together in one place allows us to offer better support, faster responses, and more services all in one spot.

We are committed to helping everyone through this transition, with clear information and support every step of the way. Our goal is to keep providing excellent service and to make sure every visit or call to Calgary Housing Company is a helpful and positive experience.

The new office will open to the public at 9:30am on Tuesday, April 16.

Our District Offices will be closing as follows:
South District Office – Centre Street SE
(Currently Closed for Appointments)
Permanent Closing Date: Noon, Thursday, February 29

West District Office – Centre Street & 16th Ave NW
(Currently Closed for Appointments)
Permanent Closing Date: Noon, Thursday March 7, 2024

East District Office – Marlborough Mall NE
Permanent Closing Date: Noon – Thursday, April 11, 2024

Please note that Document Dropboxes available at the district offices will be removed as of the closure dates. For residents submitting Annual Rent Reviews or for any other tenancy questions please contact your Property Manager. We encourage all residents to take advantage of our Resident Portal to submit documents and access account information and other services.

The new office will be opening Tuesday, April 16 at 9:30 am.

The Wood Centre is located between the Max Bell and the Franklin C-Train stations.

Franklin C-Train station has slightly better access as there is a pathway cleared for walking to Wood Centre and is a 12 minute walk.

Max Bell requires crossing Barlow Trail and is a 12 minute walk.

The closest stop numbers to the Wood Centre are: 6021, 2842, 6709, 4478, 8569, 2163, 6812, 5889 and 2146.

All of our office leases expired in 2023 and we were facing increased renewal costs. By combining offices we can save money and work more efficiently.

Yes there will be 2-hour free parking for customers as indicated with Calgary Housing Company signs. Customers will be able to register their license plate at the Customer Service Desks for free parking.

In addition to the free parking for visitors there is also 2-hour free parking on the street nearby and paid parking available in an offsite parking lot nearby. The public parking rates are up to $5 a day.

Our phone lines will still be open and available. The resident and applicant portals will be available as usual as well. Current residents are also able to contact their housing teams directly as usual.

Yes, we will have the language line and translation services available.

Documentation can be submitted digitally through the applicant and resident portals. For support using the portals applicants should connect with a Customer Service Representative and residents should connect with their Housing Services or Rent Supplement Administrator.

Dropboxes at the district offices can still be used until the offices close. There will not be a dropbox at the new office, documents can be submitted electronically, dropped off at the Customer Service Desks during regular business hours or mailed in.

You can also contact your housing support staff and make an arrangement to leave the documentation with them.
