Food Resources and Supports Available to Calgarians
Local agencies, organizations and individuals have been coming together to make sure every Calgarian has access to food. We recently added a bunch of new resources to our Community Supports page, and rounded up all the food resources together in this one post.
Food Hampers and Other Supports
The Alex Community Food Centre – The Alex is still connecting people with food supports as well as a host of other things: basic needs, mental health, legal, financial, referrals and other social supports. Visit their website or call 403-455-5792.
Calgary Food Bank Food Hampers – Visit the Calgary Food Bank website for more info or call 403-253-2055 to book a hamper. You must call before picking up.
Calgary food depot is helping families access food – people looking to pick up a hamper can call 403-815-5822.
Damesh Culture Centre Food Bank – Order non-perishable foods online, call 403-590-0970 or Email info@dashmesh.ca. Pickup from 135 Martindale Blvd NE or request free delivery.
Fresh Routes Mobile Market Food Delivery – Fresh Routes has a limited number of donated food boxes available. Complete the form to make a request.
Meals-on-Wheels Food Delivery for All Calgarians – New relief efforts for ANY Calgarian whose life has been altered due to COVID-19, affecting their ability to easily access nutritious meals.
The Salvation Army is providing food hampers and essentials by appointment only. Call: 403-220-0432

Food Delivery Services
The Good Food Box – Low-cost boxes of fresh produce available for pick-up to all Calgarians. Three sizes: Small (20 – 25 pounds) = $25 | Medium (30 – 35 pounds) = $30 | Large (40 – 45 pounds) = $35. To order, contact gfb@ckpyyc.ca or 403-538-3780.
The Calgary Co-op is offering care packages if you have been instructed by Alberta Health services to quarantine, send an email to memberengagement@calgarycoop.com

YYC Grocery Delivery – Free custom grocery delivery for Calgarians in need. Place an order and they will do the shopping. Pay by e-transfer or prepare the cash and your delivery will be left at your door.
