Cold Weather and Heat in Your Home

Cold Weather Maintenance Advisory – December 21, 2022

Calgary is currently experiencing extremely cold temperatures that are impacting people in their homes as well as outdoors.

Please be aware, however, that with the extreme cold temperatures, most heating systems are only able to maintain a temperature of 19-20 degrees Celsius. Please do not report a “no heat” situation if your home is slightly cooler than usual as there is not actually a problem with your system and no response is required.

If you are experiencing a significant drop in temperature and your furnace is not heating your home above 15 degrees or cooler please contact CHC Maintenance immediately.

For Maintenance Emergencies call CHC at 587 390-1200 press 3. For the CHC Contact Us page click here.

Please be aware that our contractors are extremely backed up and it may take several hours for a response to a “no heat” service call. Please be patient, we will respond to your call as soon as possible.
