Rent Payments During Covid-19 Situation

Rent Payment During Covid-19 Situation

At Calgary Housing Company, our mandate is to provide affordable housing to low and moderate income Calgarians. As a compassionate and caring landlord,  we believe in the core value that everyone should have access to safe, affordable housing. This is more important now than ever, when the customers we serve and the community that we are all a part of, are facing unprecedented circumstances and challenges.

Calgary Housing Company will be flexible and work with tenants whose employment income has been impacted due to Covid19 so that they can continue to stay in their homes and support our efforts to ‘flatten the curve’.

Ensuring that tenants have safe, adequate housing is of our utmost priority.  All tenants are responsible for paying their rent – however we do recognize the loss of income and financial hardship that some tenants may be facing as a result of the current Covid-19 circumstances. If you are having difficulty with your rent –contact your Property Manager to discuss options and resources that are available to help support you during this time.

The Government of Alberta and the Federal Government have put measures in place to ensure that adequate income supports and rental assistance programs are in place for all Albertans. We encourage all tenants to access these financial supports as they are intended to help support you in covering your rent during this challenging time.  For more information, please take a look at the resources below:
