Resident Portal FAQs

Resident Portal | Frequently Asked Questions

The Resident Portal is a secure online service that allows Calgary Housing residents to access housing services in one place. You can use it to:

  • Complete your Annual Recertification (Annual Rent Review)
  • View payment history
  • Submit maintenance requests
  • Track maintenance requests
  • Receive updates and news from Calgary Housing

It is available 24 hours a day from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Registering gives you convenient access to online services and helps you stay connected with Calgary Housing. More services will continue to be added to the portal over time.

We encourage all residents to register as soon as possible. Registering early gives you time to become familiar with the portal before you need to use it for important services such as your Annual Recertification or submitting maintenance requests.

You can register by:

  • Visiting the Calgary Housing website and selecting the Resident Portal link
  • Scanning a Resident Portal QR code
  • Going directly to the Resident Portal registration page
  • Requesting a registration email from your Housing Administrator

You will need:

  • Your Resident Code (Tenant/Payment Account Number)
  • The email address Calgary Housing has on file for you
  • Access to that email account to receive a verification email

Your Resident Code (also called your Tenant or Payment Account Number) can be found on most Calgary Housing letters and correspondence, including:

  • Welcome letters
  • Annual Recertification notices
  • Missing document requests
  • Other housing-related notices

Use the same email address Calgary Housing currently has on file for you. Registration will not work if the email address entered does not match Calgary Housing records.

  • An email address is required to register on the portal. If you have not provided Calgary Housing with one or have forgotten which one is on file, contact our office to add or update it before you register on the portal. (Call (587) 390-1200 and press 4)
  • Having an email address where you receive regular email newsletters does not guarantee that the email is registered into our system for the portal. If you are not sure, please contact our office to confirm.

You can either register with the original email and then contact Calgary Housing to update your email afterwards, or you can contact your Housing Administrator and ask them to update your email address before registering. Once your information has been updated, you can complete registration.

Residents can update aspects of their own contact information through the Profile section of the Resident Portal. However, to update or change the email in Calgary Housing’s records, they will need to contact their Housing Administrator.

Check your Junk or Spam folder. If you still cannot find the email, contact your Housing Administrator for assistance.

  1. Go to the Resident Portal and select “Click here to register.”
  2. Enter their personal details and account information, including their payment account number.
  3. Enter their email address and create a password.
  4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Click Register.
  6. Check their inbox for an account verification email and click the link within the email to finish the registration.

Registration is complete once the resident has received and clicked on the verification link sent to their email to activate their account. They can then log in to the Resident Portal using their registered email address and password.

Select Forgot Password on the login page and follow the instructions.

  • Sign into your account with your Username (email address) and password; click on your name in the top right corner; select My Profile; click the Change Password button and follow the prompts.
  • If your household members have changed and someone may know your password, you should reset to a new one for security of your information.

Wait one hour and try again. If you remain locked out, contact Calgary Housing for assistance.

Try using the Forgot Password steps. If you still cannot access your account, attempt to register again. If the issue continues, contact your Housing Administrator.
